There was a time I felt depressed when I heard my canvases were thrown out. After that, In spite of having empty canvases with me, I couldn’t hold a brush in my hand. I had developed a block. It was almost painful. My friends coaxed me but I could not. Finally, after not holding a brush in my hands for years, I decided to go to my amazing painting teacher Ratna Shah… and made this.

Feeling happy.

I feel like a tiny fish here that crossed an ocean and the other fish are all my friends who decided to swim beside me to give me courage. Couldn’t have done it on my own.

I chose this painting for many reasons. My favourite Bible story is, Jesus feeding 5000 people with five loaves and two fish. For me it’s the best story about abundance. I relate fish with abundance and so many  gold fish for sure stand for abundance for me.

If any church wants an abundance painting done from the Bible, call me… I have some ideas and will paint a wall or a corner or a grotto or a canvas for free. I am not professionally trained. I just love to paint and will paint on everything under the sun.
