Art has therapeutic abilities

When I was 12 years old art was simply a hobby. I never dreamed it would be anything more. Perhaps I had some talent, though I’m not sure if I believe in such a thing. In the coming years, it slowly turned into my educational path and then career, the natural flow of time drew me and made my love for art grow.

Inevitably my relationship with art would and has changed. It was my hobby, then my job, and now my release. One thing hasn’t changed, the joy and elation I feel when I dive into a new piece. It is the same feeling I had as a little girl doing what I loved.

Art has therapeutic abilities, this I know. I have seen it work its magic on my friends, my students, family, and myself. I would like to share that experience with you, to show how art changed my life and how it can change yours.
